Porte d'Italie is a station on line 7 of the Paris Métro. The previous stop is Porte de Choisy, and the following stop is Maison Blanche. The station opened in 1930 as part of Line 10 when it was extended from Place d'Italie to Porte de Choisy, but the station was then integrated into line 7 one year later. It is named after the Porte d'Italie, a gate in the nineteenth century Thiers wall of Paris, which led to the south. 

Since 2006, the metro station has also been connected to the Paris Tramway Line 3a. The station also serves the lines 47, 131, 184, 185 and 186 of the RATP bus network and, at night, the lines N15 and N22 of the Noctilien night bus network.
