The metro station Porte de Namur is located in between the metro stops Louise/Lousia and Trone/Troon, on the Avenue de la Toison d’Or/Guldenvlieslaan. The area is a well-known shopping area, because of the many luxury shops (such as BVLGARI, Hermes, Gucci…) and clothes shops (Zara, H&M, COS, Weekday…). On top of this, the UGC Toison d’Or Cinema is also located in this neighbourhood. The cinema is one of the main cinemas in Brussels, and its showings are divided in two locations, which are a 2 minute walk from each other.
A few minutes walk away from the metro station is Ixelles/Elsene’s town hall, which is located on the place Fernand Cocq/-plein and surrounded by many shops and restaurants. Another popular spot for dining and drinks is Place St. Boniface/ Sint-Bonifaasplein, which is also just a few minutes walk from the metro stop. A mere 15 minutw walk away, you can also find the famous place Flagey.
