Blagnac is a commune in the Haute-Garonne department in southwestern France. It is the third-largest suburb of the city of Toulouse. Although governed by a separate council, it is still a member of the Toulouse Métropole. Historically Blagnac is part of the traditional country of Languedoc and the historical region of Occitanie. The town is mainly turned towards the aeronautics industry, as proven by the Toulouse-Blagnac Airport, the headquarters of the Airbus company and the Aeroscopia aeronautics museum. There are also many factories and offices of the Airbus group in Blagnac.
Local transport is operated by Tisséo. Buses 70 and 71 run to Jeanne d'Arc and bus 66 runs to St Cyprien République, both in the city center. Bus 25 circles the suburb and stops at the Airport, and bus 17 connects Blagnac to Mondonville, toward the northwest. A shuttle bus connects the Airport to the city center. A new tramway now also operates southwards to the Toulouse Arènes station where it connects with Line A of the Toulouse Metro.
